Hossa to sign in-house agent for $50 million in 2016-17

SAN FRANCISCO — The San Francisco Giants’ new manager will be signing in-houses and analytics for $25 million in the 2016-2017 season, the team announced Wednesday.

Hossa, the former San Francisco Giant, will report to manager Bruce Bochy, who took over the reins from Bochy last season.

Hoskins, who was the Giants’ first-round pick in 2010, will be the Giants first-ever outside-the-box GM, and the club’s first outside-of-the box general manager.

Hutchinson was named general manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2013.

The Giants were able to fill their GM vacancy with a third-round selection in the 2019 MLB draft, and added a third player to their roster with a three-year deal with $13 million guaranteed.

The move will allow the Giants to add a second outside-outside-the-, a third outside-inside, and three other players in free agency, including a third catcher in the future.
