As we head into 2017, a lot of the buzz around the job market is around a shortage of skilled, motivated workers.
But is it possible to have a thriving startup without hiring a lot?
For many people, the answer is yes.
Here are five reasons why.
1.
It’s not about the number of jobs.
If you are looking to start a company, there are some things that you should not consider.
There are three major barriers to start up, according to startup recruiter and recruiter partner Scott Harker.
The first is a lack of experience.
There’s no way you will be a startup success if you haven’t built your own startup before.
The second is a belief that you can get into the startup business and be successful without a lot.
The third is a feeling of a lack in the industry.
The startup community is full of folks who know a lot about tech, but feel a lack for the skills they need to be successful.
2.
It isn’t about technology.
If your company is about building software that will run on your servers or a mobile app, you should seriously consider starting up.
The problem is, many companies that are hiring for these roles are building systems that rely on the cloud or other proprietary technology.
The best companies are trying to leverage technology to accelerate their products and processes.
This is where you need to pay close attention to the technologies being used to build the products and services they are building.
3.
You have to be a good fit.
You should hire people who are highly-skilled and highly-motivated, according Mark Z. Terkel, CEO of startup Zappos.
For startups that are building an app, the ideal candidate will have at least a master’s degree in business, technology, or a related field, and be willing to work from home.
The hiring manager needs to have good relationships with the founders, product owners, and other top executives.
This includes ensuring that the CEO and other senior leaders of the company are working closely with the employees and the product owners to improve the product.
4.
It is about your company.
The company that you start should be about you and your vision.
The ideal company will be one that is self-motivating and self-reliant.
For example, if your goal is to help your clients make more money, then you can hire people to help them grow.
The important thing to remember is that you need your startup to be about something more than your employees.
The founders and product owners need to have their own goals, and the products should be designed and built with the business in mind.
5.
It should be a small company.
It doesn’t have to cost a fortune to start an online shop.
There is plenty of room to grow in your market.
It could even be a smaller company, so long as you’re not a huge financial contributor.
Startups that are growing faster and faster are often ones that have great founders and a great vision.
